Healthy dose of exercise
Over the last month, I have discovered my healthy dose of exercise that my body is happy to receive, and it is much more than any recommendations for exercise have stated. I have discovered that I feel the best if I get a mix of exercise - around 30 min to 60 min of strength training/flexibility or other form of resistance focus exercise while also doing around 1h 30 min of vigourous cardio type exercise such as fast walking, bike rides, running, per day! If I do not have enough exercise, I feel bad and have difficulty sleeping on top of other functions of my body seemingly being off.
How does it compare to recommendations?
Let's take American Heart Association recommendations - the minimum is 150 min moderate or 75 min high intensitiy aerobic exercise per week, while better cardiac outcomes are seen from at least 300 min (5 hoours) of being active per week.

While I recognize that minimum is exactly that minimum that must be reached in order for a body to have somewhat healthy conditioning, I am still surprised that my individual body requires much more.
In total my body requires at least 10h and 30 min of cardio style exercise that is ideally vigourous or high-moderate and 3h 30min of resistance style training. Which is 5.6 times more than the recommended minimum weekly activity for adults.
What's next? I aim to keep track of my activity for a month and track the health outcomes of the minimum required amount of exercise my body considers as a need to feel good. Maybe, just maybe it solves some of my current problems.
